Over the years, because the national standard GB/T2520-2000 for tinplate began to adopt the internationally common HR30Tm hardness representation method, the domestic has begun to use diamond anvil to test the HR30Tm hardness value of tinplate.
However, testing HR30Tm hardness requires a diamond anvil, and domestic Rockwell hardness testers rarely have such accessories to buy. Because suitable diamond anvils are difficult to buy, benchtop surface hardness testers are more expensive. Therefore, the application of HR30Tm hardness expression method in the domestic tinplate industry is not widespread. Especially in terms of the manufacturers of tinplate, although people also realize that the hardness of tinplate is very important, it is related to the quality of processed products, related to production efficiency and enterprise benefits. However, most companies do not re-check the hardness of the purchased tinplate products.
